Just went and picked up our old John Deere 435. I was lucky enough to be able to buy it back from the person my Dad sold it to 20 years ago! They have taken great care of the tractor and it is looking pretty good! Gonna have to replace the exhaust as they ran a pipe underneath the tractor and it just doesn't look right. Glad to be back in the ranks of the John Deere owners!

It"s always good to hear someone locating and getting an old family tractor back. I unfortunately was not so lucky. After a 2-3 year search, I finally located the 730 Dad sold in 1985. The guy won"t sell it. He has done a complete restoration and uses it for parades and tractor pulls, and is a constant winner. My Dad was a very competitive person, especially with his brothers. Last time the 730 gas (not diesel) was on the dyno, it was putting out over 70 HP. Gas hog, you bet, but Dad didn"t care, he took great pride in being able to out pull and out work my uncle"s 3020 and 4010.
