Is it possible to get all the parts from a campany that you would need to build a John Deere BR/AR? I don"t have the money to get one, but I absolutely have the money to accumulate parts over time, working on another tractor. I know this probably isn"t the smartest Idea, but I"d love to give it a try if I knew it was possible. (I try anything I can) Besides, if you buy the tractor in parts, there"s no taking apart necessary.

Just a thought, but thanks for any help!

By the way, if there are places I can get all the parts, where is it?

I don't know of any company that sells enough used parts to do so, besides maybe Dennis Polk? There prices are usually pretty extreme, that you wouldn't want to go through them anyway.

The other guy is right though, it would be MUCH cheaper to buy something to start with. Even a junker is better than starting with one bolt, and going from there...

I would suggest saving for a while, keep your eye out for deals, and get something relatively complete. A running tractor would be even better!

Good luck, if you do it your way, you will have $30,000 in a $6,000 tractor. you have to start with something. you can't just go buy a main case and start building from there.
