JD AR oil pressure changes to much

The oil pressure on my '37 AR (ser no. 254590) seems to vary more than normal. At slow idle it reads just above the red line and at fast idle it reads just below the high mark. I have checked it with two differant gages. Both show the same thing. Where is the pressure regulating valve? Also where do you adjust the pressure? The operators manual does not show this.

This is just a guess your running a multi weight oil right?? If so that could be the problem if not forget what I have said.

If your pressure readings were 10 at idle and 15 at wide open. Your pressure is fine.
