There is two upper (5/8") bolts in the Quads and syncro's tractors and are found under the transmission cover. These tractors DO NOT require a double split like a Power-shift to get to them. One way to split tractor if lifting equipment is not handy to remove cab, is support rear of cab from above and spit tractor at transmission and roll rear axle and transmission out from under cab. Cab floor will have to be removed to remove transmission cover to get to the bolts previously discussed. A 4230 is more difficult to split this way because the cab is set down closer to transmission compared to other models, but can be done. If equipment and room was not an issue I would pull the cab on this model. Good Luck, DW
