I have a 1946 B JD and the clutch was making noise when you put in to gear it would make a clicking type noise. It would sound really bad when you put it into gear. What could be wrong with the clutch when it does that? Thanx for all your info

KG farmer, I'm afraid we are going to need a little more information from you here?

~You say the clutch is making a noise, then when you put it the transmission in gear it would make a clicking sound.

~Does the clutch noise happen both in neutral & while in gear?

~Does the clicking noise occur while sitting still, or moving, or both?

~Does the clutch make any noise with the tractor sitting still with the clutch engaged? With the clutch disengaged?

~When did the noise start? Has it gotten worse?

~Noises are hard to diagnose over the internet so the more background information you can furnish the better chance we have of understanding your problem..
