Model B fifth and six gear

I have a two part question.
1) can't seem to get the 5/6 gear off the side of the sliding shaft. This is a gear that is outside the case on the left. Wheel puller won't budge it. I want to get the shaft out and as I understand the drawings, the snap rings for the shaft are under the gear. Is there something I am missing, or do I just need a torch.
2) Need a good source for some of the B transmission parts.

You do have the nut loose don't you ? Try some heat on the gear with a acetylene torch with the puller on tight it may pop.
