I have a 4230 with a 404 turbo out of a 4430 or 4230(dont know). The hoses from the sound guard cab for the heater are not connected to the engine. Where do these connect to and how are they routed. Mine are cut off by the rear of the cab. I am thinking that they both connect to the top of the engine. There is two pipe 90s with plugs on them here one on each end. Are the hoses rubber in the engine comp. or steel. Also I notice that there are two temp sensors on the top of the head at the rear of the engine, one with a screw terminal and one with a spade terminal, I cant find any wires to hook to spade terminal or find the sensor in parts manuals for 4230, or 4320 tractors, maybe this was used in newer engines and came from the engine swap.

The hot water line to the cab is connected into the water manifold just prior to the thermostats. The "cold" return line from the cab is connected to the water pump suction side as close to the pump inlet as possible. Does one of the sensors measure low ohms cold and high ohms hot? That will supply a temp gauge. The other sensor will likely read "open" until "overheated". Then it will close and energize an idiot light or computer alarm circuit in a new tractor. Is there a serial number on that engine somewhere? Injection pump type/model, turbo data, filter locations etc.

I have not checked Ohms, looks like the stud terminal sender should be orginal style. It has 2 glass fuel filters and a large Inj pump, return lines have rubber T boots on them with pinch spring type clamps. I will have to take the serial number off the tag tomorrow. I do know that the Tag is upside down on the block. Also there is no oil sending unit on this block, but I would guess it would go under the fuel filters at the back of the block on the side. Looks like a bolt in the hole here now. Poor job on switching blocks.
