I have a 720 LP and it dies about every 5 minutes. I can unplug the altinator wires and plug them back up and it will start right up and run for another 5 minutes. Anyone have any ideas?

Running on vapour or liquid when the stall happens? Does it still have spark right after if quits? How much wiring was re-arranged when the alternator was added on? Any chance that six volt coil is seeing 12V while the engine is running?

Make sure your LP convertor is getting water and it can flow into and out of it. Sounds as if it is freezing up. Just happens to thaw out enough to start back while you are messing with the alt. At least that is the most common problem with LP convertors. Feel it when the tractor stops. If your hand sticks too it, good chance it froze. Sometimes they will freeze the water in them also if you don't run antifreeze and the water hasn't had a chance to warm up. More of a winter problem than summer but possible.

Have you checked out your LP convertor?? It sounds like you may have a leak in the convertor??
Look in the radiator for bubbles when you have the valves open and the ingntion set to on. Also make sure that the fuel lock solenoid is working properly.
