Does anyone have any tips on how to pull cast centers and wheels off the axles of letter tractors. I have thought about using a hydraulic jack in some way.

I have a large hyd. gear puller,I can put 2 of the jaws right into the square holes for the wheel weight bolts this is very slick. You may try a local tool rental place they may have a large puller.Much safer than a jack and a chain.

I use a five ton jack. Put the base of the jack on the end of the axel run a good chain through the holes in the castcenter and overthe end of the jack. Use plenty of PB blaster or lube. Be carefull GOOD LUCK
