I live in Englewood, and personally had no damage, although the winds go up to 80 -100 mph or so. I used to live in Port Charlotte. Real bad there. This is a picture of where my father used to live, (he moved back to N.H. a few years back). Things are hectic now, as we are helping friends that live there.

JF:

Thanks for asking. I'm in Tallahasse, which is in the northern part of the state, and all we got was a bit of rain.

I'm going to be driving through your country in a couple of weeks. Saw they had some flash flodding in England today. Hope those folks are hansling it all right.

All went well on the east coast (Melbourne) but the southwest part of the state really was damaged as well as through the central part (Orlando). Winds had subsided a bit by the time it hit Orlando, but there are still thousands without electrical power.

John C. - Florida, a regular poster on this board had little damage, I think. I don't know about the status of any of the other Florida posters on this board.

Thanks for inquiring,

Stan

Old John Deere Steel Wheel? in reply to Stan - Florida, 08-16-2004 18:04:12
Im glad that storm didnt hit NW Fl. I live in Barrineau Park, Fl. I just purchased an old farm homestead, and Im finding some real old John Deere Parts, Do you know if there worth anything, for example: I have 2 all steel rear wheels with steel cleats that I think came off of a 1927 model D, John Deere, there in excellent condition, just alittle surface rust, I was going to sand blast them and paint them but if there not worth anything, i will just use them for a flower bed or something. If you know anything about these type of wheels please email me, Thanks Ted Walker
