My DATA BOOK says 310772 was the last one. June 2,1952. Sometimes these books are wrong. Jon C may have better info. than this one.

CLW,

We agree on the number. It's interesting to see the differences in opinions and facts from the various sources of serial number info. I've compared the "Brown Book" (1976) to the "Grey Book" (1994), the John Deere Tractor Data Book (1996, I think) and the numbers from J.R. Hobbs' articles in Green Magazine over the years. I've done this on all the two-cylinder tractors I've found articles on. I don't have access to Two-Cylinder Club data, so I can't comment on it.

There are differences, so as the guy running the shell game at the carnival says, "You pays your money and you makes your choice".

CLW - I think you and Stan are right on this one. (See my additional post below.)

Check out Johnnypopper.com, on the left side under "model comparison". It lists "Last serial No"....but i'll bet its not right.

I'm pretty sure it's number 310,775 made in 1952. There were 11,599 made that year, the 5th lowest production of all the years from 35 to 52.

Anderson -
My good firend Stan - Florida just notified me that according to his information from Green Mag. the last serial number is 310,772.

My source was Johnypopper.com, and there appears to be a descrepency of three.

My bet its that Stan is correct, because I have found other inconsistancies on that site.

Unless of course you own # 310775!
