In black clay central Texas My 4230 & JD 310 15 disk or should I pull the Spike tooth harrow seperatly. I just bought 4 JD sections 5 ft each. Should a cut a bar 20ft and put all 4 together or cut a 16 ft bar and put three togehter what works best Please advise first time to begin plowing ? Those spike tooth wont even fold forward or back get out the cutting tourch and replace bolt after the sledge hammer straightens out the bent bars hope it will fold Thanks.

I would probably pull them seperately. The 310 is gonna give the 4230 all it wants and more. The 310's I have seen have been pulled w/4440's and 4630's here in Central Tx blacklands. Have also noticed the 310's are bad about 'walking', not following straight all the time. If you are plowing close to a fence, look out. They like to move over and grab posts and wire.
