I just purchased a small JD to get into areas the 2355 can't. The serial numbers have been eaton away and when I tried to give parts guy the numbers Ido have he said it would take to long' If anyone can help it would be deeply appreciated. Numbers on moter 3T80UJ 78.2 CUBIC INCH TRANS NUMBER 001871 radiator nu 02200044102U THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

Both the 750 and 850 have the 80mm bore by 85 mm stroke 3-cylinder Yanmar engines. However, the rated RPM of the 850 is 2,600 while the 750 is 2,400. Perhaps this RPM difference will enable you to tell the difference. Also the wheelbase of the 850 is 67.5" while that of the 750 is 61.1". That should enable you to at least determine which model it is. Serial number and year will be much toughter.
