My friend is going to expand his farming operation.Right now he is square baling about 5 acres with a MF150. He plans to add about 20 acres of land for hay and he wants to make small round bales. What tractor and baler would ya'll recommend? He doesn't want new equipment He would like to get set up for $20,000 or less

JD 3020 $6000-$8000
Vemeer 504g or newer $6000-$8000
There are many good choices out there but this is what I'd look for. 25 acres of average hay should be one good afternoon for this duo.

Get a JD round baler. They are always tight and stay round. The older hesston round balers did a poor job. Around here everybody is going with JD because it makes such a better bale.

Thanks for the tips, I'll pass the info along. I've heard that the 3020 is a good choice. I'm not familiar at all with round balers. Thanks
