Arthur:

I'm not one to give out prices, because they are so dependent on the local conditions, but I would like to offer that when you say "bad engine" on a two-cylinder, you could be in for some pricey parts, let alone labor. I went through my 70D a couple of years ago, and it ran but needed every thing refreshed (that is to say it was worn flat out!). $800 for pistons, $350 for all valve parts and grinding, $350 for boring and facing, $150 for gaskets, $350 for injection system servicing, and then probably $1500 more in incidentals (radiator, power steering, clutch, governor, electrical, Powr-Trol), well you get the notion. Notice I didn't add in any labor, as I did everything I could on my own.

Just consider this when you think about the price.

Frank
