Just got a 1020 ,traded my 9N,and I don't have a clue about Deere's. The exhaust system needs some work. and the battery is not secured. I've looked at some parts pictures at the JDparts web site but still don't know exactly what to do.
What are ya'll doing to hold the battery in place? and what does the exhaust system look like? that is how far rearwards under the footrest does the muffler attach? And where are the points of attachment for the supports? Also is there a doughnut gasket between the exhaust pipe and manifold? I've ordered the operators manual and am going to order the tech manual soon. Do either of these illustrate the above? It would be nice to have some good pictures of a 1020 in original condition, any out there?
