Removing Differential on 1937 AR

I have a 1937 AR I am in the process of rebuilding. The only thing left in the tractor castings are the differential gears. Is there anyone on this board that can explain how these gears and shaft come out? I have no doubt I can get them out, but I would like to do it without destoring them. Is there a manual that might show this process, even if it's for another model tractor? I have them loose, but can't figure out how it needs to come apart to be removed from the gearbox. Even if I remove the rear-end casting it doesn't look like it would come out assembled.

Thanks for any help

Michael

Yesterday when I got home from work, I removed the rear-end casting. Just like you said, I was able to then move the differential assembly to the left, and bring it out the back. Looking at it, before the rear-end casting was removed, I would never have thought it could come out in one piece.

Thanks Mike M. for the much needed help.

Michael

Any of the I&T manuals should show procedure on a later tractor. Most all you have to separate the rear end housing from the main case, unbolt and remove the housing or housings that hold the diff. carrier bearings then lift up diff. assy. slide to one side I think left, then tip the other side out at an angle and it should just barely come out with no extra force or damage, then once out you can pull the bearings if needed.
