Amos - I have a power-lift and not a power-trol on my 35 B, but maybe I can offer a few basic suggestions. First, the P.T.O lever must be "in gear",the tractor in neutral and the clutch lever engaged so the belt pully is spinning. The gear pump runs off the p.t.o. shaft. Assuming this is done, there is a lever to the left of the seat that moves forward and back to make the rock shaft move. There are two positions..slow raise and fast raise, when moving the lever forward, and slow drop and fast drop when moving to the rear of the tractor. If it doesn't work, check to see if there is oil in the unit. It takes straight 30 weight oil. There should be a level plug or petcock on the side. If it still doesn't work, the plugs (where the hydrolic cylinder hoses plug in) must be in or it won't work. If it still doesn't work and the adjustment screw is correct, you may have an internal problem. Hopefully some guys with a "modern" styled 1940 something with power troll will respond to help out.
