I got a 8430 that my Father-in-law ran out of fuel.I got it bleed and thought it would run.But it don't.I got fuel up to the injector pump. But can't make it hit.I put plenty of fuel in it and tried to break line at the injector but can't get any fuel there.Do you think I have some air in top of pump and just need to crank more? Can someone give me some suggestion on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks ..... ...

Jack all you need to do is change the fuel filter and bleed the air out at the filter and after you have the air out at the filter, just pump the hand pump a few more times and get on and start the tractor. John Deere has a self bleeding system. You don't have to loosen nozzle lines or anything on the injection pump, that is if you don't have any thing else wrong. As you said you just run it out of fuel. You would not have to change the fuel filters unless you wanted to, just bleed out the air at the filter.

If you have fuel to the pump, it's usually just a matter of getting the air out of the lines. Most times they start withing fifteen or twenty seconds of cranking at that point. Are you trying to bleed at the nozzles using the hand primer? You might need to just crack three or four of the lines at the nozzle and crank the engine until you get some fuel squirting out. Tighten the lines and it should take off and run then.

There is a fuel passage along the length of the Bosch or Denso pump that feeds the individual plungers. The hose from the filters enters at one end of the pump, and there is a bleed plug at the other end. Loosen the bleed plug, and pump the hand primer until you get clean, air free fuel. If this had been done in the first place, there should be no need to bleed the injector lines.
