I have a leak in the lower pedestal on my 630 power steering. It looks like there are two O rings in there. Is that all that there is to the pedestal as far as seals? Thanks, Ken

Ken, those "O" rings are the prime cause of external fluid leaks at the lower pedestal area. There are also larger "O" rings around the steering cylinder & vane area. It isn't a real hard job to replace those "O" rings but sometimes there will be broken vane pins or scoring on the lower cylinder or vertical shaft. Those "O" rings are backed by paper gaskets & those paper gaskets are NEEDED to protect the "O" rings.. There is also a shim kit to improve the vane setting angle & that should also be installed.

~Before doing too much, pull the P/S reservoir cap & make sure the vent is open, a plugged cap vent will pressurize the system & cause external leaks..

~Any questions or inner power steering pictures just give me an E-Mail..
