I know approx. 20,000 were produced 60 years ago. There are only a small number restored Model Bs registered on this sight. My own personnel guess would be less than 100. Just curious if someone had a better estimate.

I have restored a 44 B. I really can't imagine how one could find out how many are restored to "Show room condition." You can see pictures of before, during and after restoration on the web site: Link

Ravgardner you have an excellent web sight and 44 Model B. It is nice to see when someone does it right. My 44 B is #156654 it was delivered to Vernon, Texas January 17th, 1944 should be finished later this year.

I am 1 1/2 years into my restoration and should be finished in 6 more months. I have over 30 years experience in the paint & body shop business. I am being as detailed and original as possible. One thing that bothered me recently was a man who bragged about restoring John Deere's and had a web sight showing them. There is a photo of him painting with a brush a green paint over rusted metal hood.

Different strokes for different folks . I am not a body man by my own admissions but I am very fussy also. I have also learned some of the benefits of not having it look too nice you don't want to use it. I have some that I don't use and keep others just to use. I guess that any condition is far better than letting rot away in a fence row. This is my own opinion and it has taken me a few years to mellow out to it.
