John Deere 6200 hours

Yesterday I saw a 1994 6200 JD at a equipment lot that shows 7600 hours. But to look at the tractor one would guess it at about 2000 hours, there was just no sign of wear inside or out; cab, seat, controls, floor mats, lift and drawbar was perfect. Tires was about 70%, paint was a little dull, but looked good. We have a 1086 with 5300 hrs showing wear all over it. The JD has a electronic tach, could it be wrong and have aquired more hours than the tractor has actually ran?

these electronic tachs do seem to rack up the hours alot faster that the old mechanical ones did. We have a 96 JD 6300 with 7100 hrs on it. You just have to adjust your thinking a bit.. 7000 hrs on these is NOT the same as say 7000 hrs on a 3020.
