Third remote on 30 series? Can it be added?

I have a 4230 with a sound guard cab, it looks as if a third remote can be added (looks like a spot for it). I have 2 remotes now. Where is a good place to source one and would I expect to pay a arm and leg for one since most only had 1 or 2 remotes? The $700-$1000 for a 3020 or 4020 second remote is crazy. Also where does it mount on the rear I dont see a good spot for it?

I've added third remotes to the 4430 and 4450- like Brokenwrench described. Each case, the salvage yards wanted 2/3 of new- they know the demand is there so they charge more than their usual 1/2 of new. Hard to find, so for one I bought new. Parts Express has 11 yards- 1-800-533-5304 for a yard near you.

We needed an extra outlet on our 4440 to pull an Unverferth rolling harrow behind the field cultivator. Since this was the only application where we needed 3 sets of outlets, we tee'd off of the lines on the cultivator and put a coupler on the back for the rolling harrow. spent about $20.

To mount an original 3rd remote an adapter plate is used.It mounts in place of the right remote and is ported to accept 2 select contol valve(remote) assemblies. You will need the adapter plate a second select contol valve and the associated lever and linkage.Your tractor should have the gate in the console for the third lever. I would suggest a salvage yard and you will be in the $6-700 range for everything. Your other choice is an electric/hydraulic splitter that plugs into an existing remote. They are about $400+ new.
