I'm going to look at a JD 350 sickle mower tomorrow. Does anyone know it it will fit my Kubota L2900 32 HP tractor. I've heard horror stories about the ford 501 hooking up to compact tractors and didn't know if this would have the same problem. thanks in advance.

We have two JD 350 mowers. The acttual hitch pointS is a 4 point hook up as to the standard 3 points on a 3pt MOWER. We bought one brand new in 1976 $1,350 new price) and the second one we got about 5 years ago at a sale. $850 used. We have the optional QUICK TATCH and that cqan make the mounting of the mower all of two minutes.

I don't think hooking up would be your main problem...have had several 350's but your tractor is too small to handle the offset weight of the mower. I have a 4400 JD 35HP and would not consider as you will turn over if you didn't have tons of counterweight. That bar exerts a lot of swing pressure. If you could go with a short bar like 5' might work.

The 350 mower should hook up to your 3-point arms as long as you have a catagory 2 hitch.

It will"hook up" but as far as lifting correctly,and operating correctly might be a problem. They used brackets designed for each tractor,to contol bar position,leveling etc.If you want a hook up and go sickle,maybe look at an older NH,Ford or Massey.All good mowers but less finicky about hitching options.
