I have a 1954 JD 60. I parked it this winter and it was running fine. A month ago I decided I was ready to paint it. Since then, I have been having alot of problems with it. I re-wired the whole tractor and it still misses alot. And I also have to run it with the choke half on. It really dosent want to pull itself in 1st gear. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Pull the sediment bowl off and see if you have a good flow of fuel with the fuel turned on. If so, put the bowl back on and take the fuel line off from the carb. Does it have a good flow? Replace the fuel line and remove the carb bowl and see if you have a good flow there. On some 60's, they had a fuel shut off valve on the top of the sediment bowl housing. If yours has this, when you have the sediment bowl off, push down on this valve and see if you have a good fuel flow.
Good luck, Mark

1.) Poor gas flow to the carburetor.

2.) Crud in the carburetor and/or clogged jets,
