Jon,

I choose to go the other way. I have a plow, disc, planter and cultivators that were made for the JD M. But I wanted to use it to brush hog and for grading my driveway. So I made a hitch similar to that on the M equipment and mounted it on the 3-pt hitch equipment. Now all of my equipment can be hooked up from the seat of the tractor. You do have to attach the centerlink though. The cost to have the hitch made was about $100. chooch

Jon I purchased one from a fellow named tony on the internet. I had tried to build one and found it easier and cost effective to buy one. works great. made the old m a much more useful tractor.
