Ken, with all that wire & mag moving you need to go back to square one & make sure the L/H side is producing a spark when the L/H piston is at TDC.. To do that just remove the L/H spark plug, then place it back in the plug wire & lay it on the block, then turn the engine in the starting direction & see if that left side is sparking as the dot on the flywheel hub lines up with the dimple in the flywheel covers bottom center.. If not you need to move the wires or mag, or turn the mag until it does.. ~If it still won't start then you have another problem like leaking piston rings [try about 3oz of oil in each cylinder] or rusted valve faces or seats [you might have to pull start the tractor if the valves or seats are rusted],, or a carb choke problem [make sure the choke closes completely].. ~If you haven't already done so REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS [no matter how good they look] as that is the major cause of those old Deere's having starting or runability problems.. ~It might not hurt to do a compression test to see if you have enough initial compression to start it.. If it's way low try that 3oz of oil in each cylinder.. ~Here's the bottom line... IF you have enough compression, & have a good fuel air mixture, & have a good blue spark AT THE CORRECT TIME, it WILL start..Now all you have to figure out is what it doesn't have.... ~Let us know if it has ever run, or any other information or other things that have been done to it & we can help you get it going..
