my neighbor just had his 6400 catch on fire while starting it. He was lucky and got the battery disconnected and put the fire out before much damage was done. He just got it back from the dealer and they installed a new wiring harness. The new harness runs the wires through a different spot by the motor, which is what caused the origional harness to catch on fire. I have heard this is a common problem for these tractors. is this common on most of the 00 series tractors? If so why doesn't deere do something about it before all theses tractors burn up? Just looking for more info! Thanks!
