Hello john deere enthusiasts

This is the first time posting on the jd board being a massey man and all. But i discovered a real treasure hiding in the bushed here in Fort macleod Alberta that you guys might be able to help me with. It is a john deere L industrial, (verified ser. no. tag it says LI.) the sickle mower is still attatched, the motor is missing however, the rest of the tractor is complete including the original industrial tread tires. what woud something like this be worth as is vs. restored.

thanks in advance

The engine is kinda a big deal because they are diffrent than an LA or an LUC. only LI's and electric start L's used the L 4100 T (3 1/4" bore) Block. There 2018 total LI's and 2038 total Electric start L's so it doesn't give you a big chance of finding one. However, an LUC engine will fit right back in and most people wouldn't know the diffrence. alot of other things would factor in to the value. rear wheel condition, 100% of all the sheetmetal (driveshaft cover and base and shield assembly) is there and good condition. the serial tag must be there and readable, the foot throttle should be there. how about the head lights? if it is all there and in good condition without the engine, I would have to say $1500-$3000 if it had the engine and it ran probablly closer to $5000 if it was restored perfect with the mower, Hydro lift, and the lights, $$7000 -$8000 I hope this info will help.
