I just took off the manifold on my 1952 B. From the pictures in the parts book, it looks like the All-Fuel manifold. Why would some one put this on a gas tractor. What would be the advantages or disadvantages to this? Thanks.

52BMAN,
One possibility is from Field Service Bulletin 165 (11/15/49) which notes that a special equipment hotter gasoline manifold was made available to relieve the winter service problem of carburetor and manifold icing. It resulted in slightly less horsepower and slightly higher gasoline consumption, but solved the icing problem. They were available for both the A and B.

It is listed in the B parts book as p/n AB3980R, casting # B2803R.

Good idea for a parade or odd jobs tractor that never gets worked hard or warmed up.

I think you lose some horse power with the all fuel manifold. If you live up north the all fuel will help keep the carb from freezeing up.
