Just took the manifold off our "B". On the two back stud holes, the casting is broken off towards the back edges. Also, on top of the manifold, there is the same problem. The gasket surface however, is fine with nothing broken. Any opinions? Don't really want to buy a new manifold. Thanks.

The one on my A was similiar,I built it up with the MIG ,ground it back to shape, then finished it with die grinder, then shot peened it,hard to tell where it was repaired. All that work because I didn't want to support China with a replacement manifold :-)

Tim, thanks for the help. But do you think it would hurt to keep running the manifold the way it is right now since there is nothing wrong with the gasket surface?

As long as you got sufficient area for the bolt and washer to hold down on,I see no problem with it.
