G trans shaft

I'm rebuilding the trans in my G and i'm taking two to make one, using the best gears. On the bottom shaft the gear that turns the differental gear, in one tractor the gear has two seperate set of teeth with about an inch gap between them, on the other tractor this gear has one solid set of teeth about 4 or 5 inches wide. Is one of them better than the other. They have the same part number on them, but wondering which one i should use. Any help is appreciated if i explained it clear enough, thanks Ken. The one i'm fixing is a 52 model, tag is missing on the other.

Ken, I wish I were at home where I have about 3 buckets of G transmitions to look at. Is it the double or triple gear on the bottom shaft that you're looking at? The repair book shows a picture of it. I could imagine that the solid later gear is stronger. You will probably have it back together before I can look. Easy

Thnaks anyway, i was thinking like you on the solid tooth gear maybe being better, thats what i will use.
