What kind of wrench do you use to undo the bolts on the flywheel of a G? There doesn't seem to be much room to work with. This G is an electric start.

3/4" drive socket set, 3/4" drive torque wrench rated to at least 400 ft lbs and a crow's foot socket. Torqueing via by guess and by golly has left flywheels under clamped and loose. Too little and they won't hold. Too much and the bolts stretch, fatigue and loose thier clamping force. New #8 bolts, tall nuts, hardened washers to prevent galling and cam assembly lube on the nuts, washers and threads. Torque to 290 lbs ft in steps of 50 on a 3/4 bolt.

There was a special tool for that job but finding one may be interesting.I made me a tool out of an old wrench and a piece of rebar welded to it.Had to use a torch to bend the wrench almost like a horseshoe shape and welding the rebar to the open end of the wrench for leverage. These bolts are tight.Good luck,Jack(TN).

Don't want to sound like I'm placing an ad, but I have a couple of spare flywheel wrenches, if anyone is interested. They will work on As, Gs,& Ds.
