I am wondering if anyone knows of a website where I can find a page that I can print out that has capacities, specs., ect for a gas 3020 JD. I tried my local dealer and he says they do not have such a page. I did order a manual, but it will not be in for some time and I would like to do some maintenance. You can email if you would like.

thank

Randy

Exactly what info are you looking for? All of the various specs and capacities are right in the service manual, and I have one here, but it would be fairly time consuming to type in everything. If you would give me some specifics, I could help you out.

Okay, here's some basics for you. Hydraulic capacity (includes transmission) -- synchro-range - 11 gallons initial fill/8 gallons at service (as you won't get all the oil out doing a normal drain) -- powershift - 14 gallons/11 gallons at service. Engine oil -- 8 quarts w/filter/7 quarts w/o filter. Cooling system -- 19 quarts. Plug gap -- .025". Breaker points -- .022" (31 to 34 degrees dwell). Carb mixture screw -- Marvel-Schebler - 2 1/4 turns/Zenith - 1 3/4 turns. Both are just starting points, and further adjustments are probably required.

3020; A few more spec's; I.E.,1972, 4cyl, 241CID gas, xmsn 8F-2R, 71hp, and 7420 lbs. If you can
still reclaim the original 71 hp you have got yourself a decent beast. Good luck in receiving the JD 3020 Repair manual. Have a blast reconditioning this old but faithful tractor.
