Dan is right, but just to flesh out the idea a bit more, here are some pictures that might help. This is a drawing from Worksaver hitch - an aftermarket hitch. The two lower arms bolt to the normal hitch and the triangulated device midway up bolts to the axle. The top two arms bolt on the rockshaft - which are the two square pieces sticking out on either side of the bottom of the battery box / seat.

Here's a picture of another aftermarket hitch, from Saginaw. It installs basically the same way as the Worksaver.

If your hitch hitch has two long toplink pieces that are joined by a right angle piece, it may well be an original 800, 800a or 801 hitch. You can get OMA48555, which is the Operator's Manual for both the 800 hitch and the 800A hitch, or OMA12755A for the 801. Parts Catalog for all hitches is PC397(01APR66). Call 1 (800) 522-7448 (with credit card in hand) to order these manuals.

Also, if you move the power trol lever back and forth, and do not see the rockshaft turn - you'll need the proper plugs in the rear hydraulic outlets. They may be sitting in a holder on the left rear of the tractor, but if not; you can still get them from JD dealers. The owners manual for your 60 will tell you which plugs, and how to install them.

Good luck with the project.

Thanks for picture, but, im afraid my three point looks nothing like the picture you posted.
I have the two rocker arms that attach to the axel, the two control arms that attach to to the lift cylnders, but i have two other armsthat are adjustable.

jody,

I don't think any of the JD or aftermarket 3pt's have separate hydraulic cylinder lifts. What you're describing is more like a Sagniaw or Worksaver 3pt for a Farmall -- which is this one; without the cylinders included.

You might go to worksaver.com and look at their hitch drawings and see if anything rings a bell.

Good luck in figuring it out.

Go to the Photo Auction, about the 3rd page in are some parts from an 800 hitch, see if that looks like ones you have

Not sure what you have as you mentioned "lift Cylinders" so that would be different yet and perhaps home made. If you can send some pictures that would help. If you have a jd dealer nearby you might ask to look at some old books to see if it is a 800 or 801.

What type 3 point? 800 or 801 hitch or after market? The upper lift arms should go onto the square rockshaft pins. The lower 3 lift arms hook to pins on the drawbar mount. The rest depends on type of hitch.
