found this tractor today, engine stuck,tires shot, rollamatic front, straight sheet metal with good paint. tractor looks to be 100% complete, comes with disc and breaking plow. how much should i offer

it definetly has a rollamatic, and is a 430. how hard are these to find with power steering?

The way I look at those tractors that just need to get running is that if it was sooo easy it would have already been done. Also you will have no idea if it has a drive train in one piece or not.

You can drop a grand in one of those engines on a major overhaul so fast it will make you wonder how you got into that. Then there is the clutch, pilot bearing, throwout bearing and on and on.

I would wonder how the motor could be stuck and the tractor be in one piece.

Anyway I jumped in there once and will never do it again unless I would happen to personally know the history.

Kelly, if it has a rollamatic front, it is not a 430. Might be a 530.

MAYBE<<>> Roll-A-Matics were optional on the 1010 rowcrop and could reto to a 430.
