Just bought a 36 A. Steering has half turn of play. Previous owner says it needs shims. Where can I find some? Also need fuel control valve next to fuel bowl(3-way/Fuel,gas,off). The petcock?(compression release) on the right side seems to leak a little. Is this normal? If not, where can I find one? Thanks, Scott

Scott, you can buy new compression releases,
and that 3 way fuel selector from Deere.

I had a couple tractors that had that much play in the steering and found that it had no bearing at the very end of the shaft. Got new bearing and took care of problem! My .02

On your petcock just push in on it to the left when you push it down to close it. This should stop some of the leaking. It worked on my 1937 and 1944 A.
