Allen, In the underhood fuse panel . did you look at the 2 fuses next to the fuse extractor trailer "left & right turn" 10 amp.?

Allen, I also forgot to ask if you ck'd the "HAZ, LP" fuse in the underhood fuse block also? That is the hazzard lamp-flasher feed for the hazzard side of the combination hazzard-turn signal flasher, I gather that the regular truck turn signals do operate. gwh

Allen, Ran off wiring diag. earlier but will have to wait until tomorrow to look at again. What fuses were blown? Has this trailer been fully working all along electrically? Did you use the correct size fuse each time? Are you testing the trailer lamps at the trailer connector also and are the trailer brakes working as well? Sounds like you may have "cooked" the multifunction switch "turn signal", feed me back some more info and i'll try to help. gwh

everything was working great till .i when to hook up to car trailer after having it welded. the short on the right turn signal was the wires had got hot from welding and melted. it kept poping the (trl.r. turn 10A fuse)under hood. i ran out of 10A fuses and decided to turn 4 way flashers on and installed 20A fuse.(that is when i lost 4 way flashers) on truck and brake lites on trailer.i have replaced fuse with correct amp.10A all the fuses in the box under hood are checking good with test light. even the (HAZ LP 20 A) i replaced the (haz. flasher unit) because i was told there are 2 flasher units one for signals and 1 for haz.. but no work yet.the flasher unit that i brought states on it combition flasher. which when i turn on the signals you can hear and feel the flasher unit that i replaced working. i have the trailer disconnected now so im only working on the plug at rear of truck. because last night i had a guy come over and he hooked up trailer and ready thing worked great on trailer. i have checked all fuses in the fuse box on side of dash. which there is only 1 fuse that states (20A turn)but all fuses check good.
i even tried to run a jumper wire from rear left and right brake lite on truck to the bumper plug and twine it in to the L and R turn signal wires .
that gives me brake lites on trailer but when i turn the signals on i lost the brake lites or if signal is on and a apply brakes the signals stop working till i relse brake. I through i could just run jumper wires for brakes). my though is that if i get my 4 way flashers to work that my brake lites for trailer will work. because when i lost 4 ways thats when i lost brake lites. i even disconnected my brkae controller which was hooked up with a om harmess. do you know what color wires the flashers are. i know for trailer signals green right , yellow left. brown running lites , lt. blue brake.
i when to check the big harness running under truck to front of truck and that had 3 lt. blue wires but i only had brake lite on 1 wire out of the 3. is there a place were i can hook up the 3 wires and put another plug on rear of truck L turn, R turn, running lites, because i m to the point of just running new wiring to the rear and just not using the plug that is there now.
you can call if you would like will be working on it today. because i need to run trailers...
