I just bought a model AR. Runs great, I wanted to change the oil in it and found that the oil plug is froze in. It is rounded off so its tough to get a wrench on it. How do I go about getting the plug out? Thank you in advance for your help.

I had the same problem on my AR.

What I did was to drill a 3/8 in hole through the plug (Careful, the oil will drain out as soon as you break through. And, if it has been messed up for awhile, there is likely a LOT of crud in there. Have buckets handy.). Then, when the oil and crud quit draining, use a square file to modify the hole to square so that a 3/8 socket set ratchet will fit right in it. Only takes a couple of minutes. A breaker bar with a 3/8 in extension will then take it out. Using 3/8 first will give you a second chance with 1/2 in if you screw up the first try.

Replacements are everywhere hardware is sold.
