I have a '48 B with Power Lift. I am going to be adding a 3 point to the tractor and would like to change the Power Lift to a Power Trol unit. I have been told that all you have to do is swap boxes (Power Lift for a Power Trol). Is this correct? I just want to make sure before I buy one. The handle for raising and lowering the Power Trol unit is much handier than that foot pedal on the Power Lift, and you can also use a remote cylinder. I would be greatfull for any help on this. Thanks!

John, the Power-Trol box should just swap right on. Be sure to get the long stud to go with it & make sure the rear plugs are in it as they are quite expensive to buy later. If you want to use the rock shaft you need open front [cap style] plugs, if you want to use a remote cylinder you will also need the closed front pipe thread outlet type plugs.
~Make sure the plugs & outlet fittings are the correct type for the Power-Trol box you get- shear washer [early style] or twist handle type [later style]..
