I went to the JD dealership yesterday and I was looking for the friction disks for the throttle on our 730, they said I would have to get the whole facing, and not just the disks. So I thought I would put something on here and see where yall might get them.
Thanks for any help 52 A Boy

I had the same problem with my JD50LP a few years back. I used the leather palm out of an old pair of gloves, just replace the friction disks with a piece of leather on each side. Mine has been in there for about 3 yrs now. Change the bolt and the spring while you're in there if they're in bad shape. Before I put the leather in the throttle it would fall back to idle when I turned loose of the lever.

Yea, and they are big bucks. More then what I thought they are worth. However, they last forever. We have 3 working tractors with those disks that are in daily use. In 30 years on those tractors. We have replaced just one that must have been orignal. On one, the spring is turned down pretty tite, but there is still maney years of ajustment left. When they do need ajustment, it does take but part of a turn on the bolt to get it back.

I have made some from old belting material with good results. Used a wood hole bit to cut them out and a utility knife to cut the other slots.
