What is the difference between powertrol and power lift? I think ??? on our 43 B (Flywheel start) came with the power lift and not powertrol(not close by it to check, I do remember foot pedal(s). We had a horn draulic loader on it (I was too young to remember seeing it). Some people have told me that power lift is all up or all down and with a loader this would not work that well. My father said something was done once to the hydraulics for a loader to work. Can a power lift be used to run a remote cylinder or a loader cylinders or am I all mixed up and ours had powertrol? Thanks .

John, basically Power Lift is like you say, all the way up or all the way down using foot pedals. There was a hand lever option for the Power Lift that could be installed though.
~The Power-Trol came with a hand lever [could be on either side] & had infinite up & down control with remote outlets to run a remote cylinder.
~A Power Lift system could be used to run a loader but would have to be modified using an open center valve to get full control & a pressure tap would have to be used. The easiest thing to do is just swap on a Power-Trol unit.

Clooney and John, I think there was a conversion kit available for the power lift to make it work more like a power-trol.
It's in the parts book.
