I have a chance to buy a '27 spoked JD D that has a frozen engine, but seems to be almost complete. All four spoked rims are there. Any idea what I should pay for it?

An original spoker that was just pulled out of a shed brought $32,500.00 at the Expo in Iowa in july. One at the New York Expo brought $8,000.00

A common term is a "Spoker D", which to me means a Pre-'26 with a six spoke fly wheel, which bring real(!) money. I have no idea but I'm guessing a good original Spoker flywheel might bring well over $1000. As far as I know, all D's of this vintage came with spoked Lug wheels, also valuable if in good condition. I never placed much value on tractors with stuck engines since one does not know if any of the components are usable. If frozen you also do not know the condition of the transmission of the rear end.
