Hi guys,
I know that this has nothing to do with JD tractors, and I've seen some comments on this board about not posting non-JD related posts. However, to all of you on this board who believe in the power of prayer, I would like you to pray for one of my best friend's newborn son. Little Will was born on July 8th and soon after birth, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. He went through about 8 hours of surgery at St. Mary's Hospital (Mayo Clinic) in Rochester, Minnesota last Friday, but the doctors have only given him a 25% chance of surviving. I am a firm believer in prayer (and not percentages), and I believe that if the Lord wants this little one to live, he will survive. Please pray for Will and his parents, Al and Michelle. Will is their first child, and they have been waiting for him through almost 9 years of marriage. When little Will grows up, he will get to enjoy his Grandpa's 1949 JD A, which is in the process of being restored right now. Thank you to all of you, I know that the family appreciates the prayer. I send my prayers for little Will that he be strong. Also that God, guide the hands and minds of the doctors so that they do all that is possible to help him.

Doc,

I just read this today. I have a son named Will also and he turns 5 in September. Our first and only child. I also have my grandfather's 1949 JD A and he really loves to ride with me. You and your family are definitely in our prayers.

Doc-----

I have and will continue to put in a good word for this little guy with our Heavenly Father. I also ask that He comfort and strengthen the parents in this difficult time.

At the same time I took a moment to say a profound "thank you" to Him that He has blessed our child with good health.

With all of the things going on in our lives today it takes something like this to truly put things in perspective, doesn't it?

Do keep us all posted on the little boy's progress.

Doc. My son had a heart problem at birth,I did alot of praying and it works he's 32 now, and I'll say a word or two for this little guy. Garland

Tomorrow, Friday July 18th, the medical team at St. Mary's will attempt to decrease (by 10%) the heart machine keeping Will alive, and see how his little heart will respond. They attempted this on Monday July 14th, and his heart did not respond favorably. The doctors have told the family that nothing more can be done surgically. Tomorrow is a day of such importance in this family's lives, and I trust that the prayers will flow from all over this continent, based on the response you have all been so kind in sharing. Thank you all again, I nearly cried reading all of your posts. I visited them on Sunday, and Will is such a beautiful baby, and I know that he is getting the best care available in the cardiac ICU where he is staying. I will let you know as soon as I have more information.

I do pray that this little guy does get better and grows up to be a fond follower of the hobby that we all enjoy, may God be with him and his family, I will pray for him tonight , take care and God bless.

I know God allows things to happen for a Reason,Some times,I dont know what this reason is.But I know the little one will be ok,because there is someone alot Bigger than his problems he has at this time..we will be praying for him, that he get will rid on that John Deere!! (Its called Faith!)

I also believe in the power of prayer. My twin boys were diagnosed with Twin-to-twin tranfusion syndrome at about 15 weeks. The doctors gave them a 50-to-50 chance of one or both surviving. They were born 10 weeks early, Hunter @ 2lb 3oz & Adam @ 3lb 4oz. Over 4 years later they are as healthy as can be. We have been sooooo blessed by the power of GOD. Our family will be praying for little Will. JCP
