Bought the bailer, now I need a loader

I ran a post last week, in which I was inquiring as to the best size round bailer to use with a John Deere 2440. Well, I bought a new Vermeer bailer. Now I need to know what you all think would make a good loader for that same tractor. It'll be used to move bails, and for general farm loader work. I would like to have a Deere loader, but would rather keep a few bucks for other things. Who makes a good loader that'll fit my tractor? I got a ton of good advise on the bailer, and expect no less on the loader. Let's hear what everyone has to say.

I put a slightly used JD 48 on my 2440. Used it for 8 years. Good strength to weight ratio and gave the operator a good view to operate with.
Used an independent valve to operate it.

I put a new JD620 on it eventually. Cable operated remote independent valves. Not a bad loader. I like its quick attach tool mount and it`s quick detach loader mounting. Its a bit larger than Deeres ideal recommendation and the hydraulics are a hair slower than the 48 but I`m glad I bought it. And yes I miss my 48 on some rare occasions but those quick attach tool capabilities are sweet.
