One can always learn. There was a very nicely restored 2510 gas at the Peosta, IA Expo. Two things about it were "new" to me. First it was a power shift. I didn't think there were any power shifts inb the "10" Series. Secondly, it was not a sleeve and deck engine. It looked like an early 4-cylinder version of the 300 Series engine. I thought that all the smaller "10" series tractors sported sleeve and deck engines. Were there originally power shifts and 300 Series engines in the 2510 or is this a Heinz 57 variety tractor?

Yep...I have a 2510 synchro/gas with 47 loader. One of the handiest tractors ever built. A mini 4020 with Dubuque engine. I don't think you could kill it with a hammer.

The 2510 came out AFTER the 3020 and 4020. It has the same engine as the 2020 and the same chassis as the 3020, with some modifications and was built, as noted, by Waterloo! EXCELLENT engine in an EXCELLENT tractor.

leon the 2510 is waterloo built tractor with a dubqe built engine like the 3020 & 4020 unlike the 1010 & 2010 with the deck sleeves. they were offered in gas&diesel enginges power shift or sncyro range transmissions. a very strong 53hp tractor with 4020 qualitys ps the power shift are not as common as the sncyro range versions.they were built from 1966/67/ 68 until the 2520 replaced them. an exclent choice for that size tractor. hope this helps terry clubb

you could get a 2510 with the power-shift trans, the engine was not like the 1010 and such, they had individual sleeves, a good solid engine. the diesel engine was 202 cid and put out 53hp. a good handy tractor.
