what does a tsx-74 carb fit ???? and can i use it on my 48 A JD??

You should use a DLTX 71 Carb if it is a gasoline burner or a DLTX72 if it is all fuel. Since you are probably burning gasoline, use the DLTX71.

The TSX should be an up draft you would need
a DLTX side draft carb. Don't have book handy to look up # but I think Roberts Carb. web site has
these charts on it.
