Cam,

I have a number 8 mower on my 1950 model B. I also have a JD manual (PC817) which shows all of the various tractor mountings for different model and makes of tractors. The manual also shows the optional mechanical lift bar if hydraulics are not available. You really need this manual and I feel it is still available from JD since I bought mine early this year.

Hope this helps.

Good luck

Dick

You got a Grass Board from your Deere dealer?
What is it made out of? Last time I checked they were no longer available. What is the part number?
Thanks for any information.

You can call Deere direct at 1-800-522-7448 and order a manual with a credit card.

The owner's manual his pictures and info. I had lost mine, but purchased an original off of ebay this spring. If you intend to continue to use this mower, an owner's manual sure would be a good idea! More than likely Deere still has them available. To get you started, let me know by email if no one else helps, and I would be willing to send you a copy of the attachment brackets page by snail mail.
