Sandra, clean hay out of bale chamber, trip knotter system by rotating mearuring wheel counter clockwise from flywheel side.Turn flywheel counterclock wise bringing plungerhead toward rear of baler.Stop plungerhead face in middle of frt.feeder finger slot and measure from left frame of baler to tip of feeder finger. If I remember correctly it should be 12 inches.Continue bringing plunger head back till it is even with needles when needles just start up through bottom of balecase.Correct timing of needles to plungerhead is when needles are even with lip on bottom of balecase and just at the points that stick out on plungerhead.Clear as mud!!!An operators manual is clearer but hay can't wait for mail delivery.Be sure chains are tight as this affects timing and that plungerhead stop is free and working.Good luck and have fun baling.Jim B

You will need the manual. It will have step by step timing instructions with pictures. There is no way we could tell here.
