I hope you folks might help me. I am told that a float from a JD Model D tractor carb can be adapted to my very early Model T carburetor (1912). What I need to know is the O.D, I.D. and height of just the brass float. Ideally the float I need would be 2-5/8" O.D. and 1/2" to 5/8" tall with at least a 1-1/4" I.D. I am not a tractor guy but do make some parts for the 2N/9N folks. Sure would appreciate some input on this item and where I might get one if indeed it could be adapted. I think I can adapt most any round donut shaped float so long as it is not too big O.D. or too small I.D.

Thanks.

If you get one for an H, it is not as thick as the ones used on the A's etc. it also doesn't have the arm to remove.

Mark:

Thanks for the input. Do you know the O.D. and I.D. of the "H" float and perhaps a JD part number? A thinner float would definitely be better because the .910 of the D float is going to be a squeeze and I am somewhat concerned that I may not have enough float level adjustment.

Thanks.
